PART 1: ORIENTING YOUR PRACTICE IN A DIGITAL SPACE (WEEKS 1-3)
WEEK 1:
13/3 - Welcome week: Introduction to the program, the Six Minute team, and your fellow artists followed by an overview of the New Art City platform.
WEEK 2:
20/3 - Dialogue Session: Building a Digital Toolkit (looking over possible tools to be used over the course of the program, and best practices for building in virtual space)
WEEK 3:
25/3 - Guest Speaker 1 (TBC)
27/3 - Dialogue Session: Navigating Virtual Exhibition Spaces (looking over NAC and other virtual exhibition spaces to discuss how we view/interact with work virtually)
PART 2: DEVELOPING YOUR VOICE FOR A VIRTUAL AUDIENCE (WEEKS 4-6)
WEEK 4:
3/4 - Dialogue Session: Our Virtual Selves (collective conversation about how we show up in virtual space/how we present our work online)
WEEK 5:
8/4 - Guest Talk (TBC)
10/4 - Dialogue Session: Shifting Landscapes (on finding/creating opportunities in digital spaces)
WEEK 6:
17/4 - Dialogue Session: Hybrid Modalities (A collective conversation about blending our virtual practice and physical)
PART 3: BUILDING A VIRTUAL EXHIBITION SPACE (WEEKS 7-9)
WEEK 7:
22/4 - Guest Talk (TBC)
24/4 - Crit Session 1 (group divides w/ visiting guest to get feedback on space)
WEEK 8:
1/5 - Crit Session 2 (group divides w/ visiting guest to get feedback on space)
WEEK 9:
6/5 - Program Post Mortem (session for course feedback, community building, and future opportunities)
8/5 - Virtual exhibition opening, talks, and goodbyes
