Part of Hybrid Realities :Lab 1 (Lab → Output)

CALL THEM IN: A dog walking home constructs an expansive green landscape where instinct, perception and sound guide the viewer’s movement through space.
Blending speculative fiction with cinematic spatial composition, the work invites visitors to navigate the environment as both observer and participant. Texture, sound and environmental cues subtly direct attention, encouraging a heightened awareness of the relationship between hunter and prey.
Within this terrain, boundaries begin to destabilise. The living and the dead intersect. Subjects become objects, and objects take on the presence of subjects. The act of hunting becomes less a narrative event and more a structural condition embedded within the landscape itself.
For the artist, hunting forms part of a biographical experience that informs the conceptual framework of the work. Through this lens, the installation examines questions of agency, responsibility and relational existence.
The project resonates with Donna Haraway’s concept of intra-action - the idea that entities do not pre-exist their relationships but emerge through them. In this environment, identities and roles are continually produced through interaction between bodies, movement and space.
