The Commons Submission Process
Propose a Contribution
Most material published in The Commons emerges through editorial invitation or ongoing conversation with practitioners.
We also accept considered proposals from those whose work aligns with the editorial direction of Six Minutes.
The Commons publishes fragments emerging from practice – field notes, propositions, contextual references, and artefacts accompanied by brief framing. Clarity and specificity matter more than polish or scale.
Submissions enter a short editorial triage process and publication is not guaranteed.
If you have been invited to contribute, you may either use the form below or send the material directly and we will place it into the editorial workflow.
Before You Submit
The Commons publishes working thought.
It is a descriptive surface for field notes, propositions, and contextual fragments emerging from artistic, cultural, and technological practice. It is not a programme, a community space, or a recruitment channel.
Submissions are reviewed editorially. We may lightly edit for clarity or structure. Not all submissions are published.
What We Publish
- Field notes from practice (process logs, reflections, experiments)
- Short propositions or theses that can be examined or argued with
- Context packets (annotated references, briefings, reading lists)
- Artefacts accompanied by contextual framing
- Listening notes — observations that hold a temperature without promotion
Clarity matters more than polish. Specificity matters more than scale.
