Overview
Video Archive began in 2021 as one of the earliest public releases associated with Six Minutes - a focused container for moving-image work, built to hold a wide range of forms without forcing them into a single lane.
It was conceived as a celebration of diversity in content, genre, subject matter, method, narrative, and storytelling - and as a place where new work, archival work, and previously unseen work could sit side by side without hierarchy.
We use moving image in an expanded sense. The archive includes (but is not limited to):
Alongside recognised forms, the archive also makes room for the everydayness of visual communication - the mundane as much as the sublime.
The Video Archive was never intended as a programme or a pathway. It does not operate as a community space, and it does not function through calls or recruitment language.
It is an Output: a public artefact that presents work carefully, with light-touch framing and minimal demand on the viewer beyond attention.
